SOURCES OF FUNDING FOR THE ACC
The Government of Sierra Leone makes budgetary
provision to cover the majority of local staff costs and to cover
50% of the cost of ACC building. During the course of the second
year of the Commission, Government of Sierra Leone participated
in a review of the future of the ACC and what level of resources
will be set aside for the Commissions continuation.
DFID has contributed to the Commission through
provision of consultants in key positions in the Commission. Its
input will also be towards intensive training of the Commissions
staff through exchange visits, provide resources to equip the
operational costs of the Commissions departments, and to contribute
to the rent of the Commissions building for two years initially.
The German Government has also contributed towards the cost of
ACC Community Education activities.
The Commission is looking forward to soliciting
funding from other donors like the World Bank, African Development
Bank, European Union etc, in the Anti-Corruption Drive.
