Mr. OKERE ADAMS, MINISTER OF MARINE RESOURCES ARRESTED IN FREETOWN.

A team of ACC Investigation personnel and officials of the O S D arrested Mr. Okere Adams, Minister of Marine Resources, at his residence in the early hours of Monday 7th February 2005 and detained him briefly at the Commission’s premises for investigations.
The Minister was arrested in connection with two serious allegations, which the ACC has been investigating.
One of these allegations is that the Minister breached procurement procedures at his Ministry and the other is that he solicited an advantage from several people.
The outcome of these investigations will be made known to the public through the media and through the Anti Corruption Website.
