Applications are invited
from suitably qualified persons for the under-mentioned
post at the Anti-Corruption Commission.
Job Title: Administrative
Officer
Duty Station: Freetown
Reports To: The Commissioner
TASKS AND DUTIES INCLUDE
BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Managing, controlling
and allocating work of the administrative unit as well
as overseeing the activities of subordinate staff to ensure
that the organisation’s work programme is carried out
efficiently and on time.
- To be responsible for
the repair/maintenance of office equipment, furniture
and fittings.
- Supervising the work
of Messengers/Cleaners in ensuring the general housekeeping
and orderly services of the Commission.
- Supervising the work
of the Receptionist in the management of the PABX System.
- Supervising the work
of the Transport Officer in the management of ACC vehicles.
- Controlling the use of
Commission’s amenities.
- Providing administrative
registry services.
- Issuing and maintaining
contracts for supplies and services that ACC may have
with public utilities or other suppliers resolve any operational
issues arising and to ensure that all prescribed administrative
procedures for procurement of goods and services are fully
observed.
- Organising conferences
(accommodation, travel, secretarial and other support
services).
- Supervising the work
of the Security Officers.
- Undertaking any other
duty that may be assigned by
QUALIFICATION
Applicants must possess
at least a first degree in Administration and Management
or an equivalent professional qualification.
EXPERIENCE
At least five years experience in a reputable organization.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Must have a high level
of competence in MS Office applications
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Capacity to work as part of a team
Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Must have strong initiative tendencies.
